ILOILO City – A native of Igbaras, Iloilo was found dead in his aunt’s house in Leganes town where he temporarily stays.
The 16-year-old Jeson Biña committed suicide by hanging, according to Senior Inspector Dadje Delima, Leganes police head.
Prior to his death, his aunt cautioned him against taking his girlfriend to their ancestral house in Igbaras, Delima told Panay News in a phone interview, citing investigation.
His grandmother found Biña hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom – around 10 feet high – with a nylon cord tied around his neck at around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Delima said.
Biña, a Grade 10 student, was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead./PN
