BACOLOD City – Separate illegal drug buy-bust operations in Cadiz and Himamaylan cities in Negros Occidental led to the arrest of two men.

Michael Sinogbuhan and Joevanie Jamero have been detained.

Sinogbuhan, 27, was working at a construction site of the Department of Social Services and Development on Cabahug Street, Barangay Zone 3, Cadiz City.

He was caught after selling a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P300 around 5 p.m. on April 17. He yielded two more plastic packs of similar substance.

Sinogbuhan — a resident of Purok 12 Avocado, Barangay Poblacion 1, Sagay City — was wounded when officers subdued him after he attempted to escape while at the Cadiz City police station.

He was charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the Cadiz City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday.

In Himamaylan City, the 52-year-old Jamero was nabbed around 9:30 p.m. on April 18 in his house in Sitio Malusay, Barangay Caradio-an.

He yielded three plastic packs of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, a “camouflage” bull cap, and drug paraphernalia./PN
