BACOLOD City – Five schools advanced to the grand finals of the Negros Island Battle of the Brains Quiz Bee.
These were Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School, Ramon Torres Malingin National High School – Atipuluan Extension, Southland College, Negros Oriental High School, and Bais City National High School.
The grand finals will be on September 5 at Robinsons Place in Dumaguete City.
The quiz bee, in its second year, is organized by the Energy Development Corp. (EDC).
Questions may be about renewable energy, the environment, biodiversity, climate change issues and policies, and current events.
Themed “Renewable Energy for a Brighter Future,” the contest aims to inspire the Negros youth to live “sustainably.”
The grand winner will receive a P30,000 cash prize and a trophy.
Last year’s champion was Bago National High School./PN
