ILOILO City – This city will host the Visayas regional elimination round of the Akari National High School Volleyball Championships from Jan. 20 to 21, 2018.

Visayas regional elimination deputy commissioner Ruding Villaruz said 21 high school varsity squads from Visayas have expressed interest to join the two-day tournament where the top four teams will advance to the national finals in Manila.
“We are looking for the best high school girls volleyball team in the land,” Villaruz told Panay News. “This is a good opportunity for Visayas volleyball players to show their skills and be discovered.”
According to Villaruz, each team should have a minimum of 10 players or maximum of 14, including the liberos.

Cutoff year of birth is 1999 and all members should be enrolled in the same school. No guest players are allowed.
Once the team is formed, tournament requirements must be completed. These include the team gallery with photos, accomplished and signed registration forms, signed waiver forms, 14 boxes of any Akari product, photocopies of PSA birth certificate, endorsement from school head/principal and form 137 per student-athlete.
Registration, waiver and gallery forms are available for pickup at Akari’s Quezon City office. Participating teams can also request for digital copies by sending an email to akarinationals@gmail.com or sending a private message to their Facebook page.
Other regional eliminations schedules are: Cagayan de Oro (Mindanao) on Jan. 13-14; Bulacan (Central Luzon) on Jan. 27-28; Baguio City (Northern Luzon) on Feb. 3-4; Laguna (Southern Luzon) on Feb. 10-11; Quezon City and Manila (NCR) on Feb. 17-18, 24-25.

National finals will be on March 3 and 4./PN
