ILOILO City – A 42-year-old woman charged with violation of the Anti-Fencing Law was arrested in her house in Barangay Mianay, Sigma, Capiz.

Grace Lara was taken to the Bugasong police station around 5 p.m. Thursday.

Police served her an arrest warrant dated Feb. 23 and issued by Acting Presiding Judge Romel Leonor of the 5th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Capiz.

The court set the bail at P10,000.

Under the Anti-Fencing Law of 1979, “fencing” is defined as the act of any person who, with intent to gain for himself or for another, shall buy, receive, possess, keep, acquire, conceal, sell or dispose of, or shall buy and sell, or in any other manner deal in any article, item, object or anything of value which he knows, or should be known to him, to have been derived from the proceeds of the crime of robbery or theft./PN
