ILOILO City – Setting foot in this city for the first time, a 34-year-old resident of Bacolod City was arrested for alleged drug dealing on Arguelles Street, Jaro district.
Rodolfo Dadivas yielded two plastic packs of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P5,000 and a mobile phone, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6.
An undercover agent bought the substance from the suspect during a buy-bust operation at around 11 p.m. on Jan. 15, the PDEA said.
“Nakibot ako pag-aresto sa akon. Wala gid ko maghuna-huna nga PDEA gali akon katransaksyon,” Dadivas told Panay News.
Dadivas admitted possessing the items and claimed that he was just a “runner,” or courier.
“Halin ako sa Bacolod. Nag-RORO ako kadto di sa Iloilo kag first time ko magkadto di,” he said.
Dadivas identified his supplier only as “Vincent,” also a Bacolodnon.
The suspect was hauled to the PDEA Region 6 detention facility./PN
