BACOLOD City – Police are searching for a hacking suspect in Sitio Sandongao, Barangay Bacong, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Sugarcane plantation worker Renold Bandiola allegedly attacked cousin Eric on April 15.
Police said the two were at odds over the boundaries of their farm lots.
Prior to the hacking, Eric was having a drinking binge with his elder brother in the latter’s house. He went outside to urinate.
Later Eric was found lying in the sugarcane field at the backyard with a hack wound on the head, while Renold was seen wielding a bloodstained bolo and fleeing toward his house, investigation showed.
Eric was confined in the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital./PN
