ILOILO City – The police caught a billiard player with a gun in Janiuay, Iloilo.

The 32-year-old Glen Armada of Barangay Barasalon, Janiuay was detained at the municipal police station around 5 p.m. on Monday.

The gun, a 12-gauge shotgun, was homemade, according to the police.

Armada faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, specifically for possession of a loose firearm.

He did not also have a gun license or a permit to carry a firearm outside of residence, police said.

Under Article 1, Section 3 (v) of the Act, a loose firearm refers to an unregistered firearm, an obliterated or altered firearm, firearm which has been lost or stolen, illegally manufactured firearm, registered firearm in the possession of an individual other than the licensee and those with revoked licenses in accordance with rules and regulations./PN
