ILOILO City – After a fistfight, fish ball vendor stabbed a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district, a police report showed.

Suspect Levie Bundalan, 26, of Block 6, Barangay Sinikway, Lapuz was detained at the Mandurriao police station.

The victim – Heroshe Balleza – sustained a stab wound on the chest. He was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro.

Bundalan told Balleza that the latter’s female companion “acted in a sexual way” toward him and he found it inappropriate, the police report stated. This led to an altercation and fistfight at around 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 3.

They got near Bundalan’s fish ball stall. That was when the vendor grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed Balleza, police said.

Bundalan rushed to a police patrol vehicle at Plazuela de Iloilo to report what happened and confessed to attacking Balleza.

Balleza’s family will file appropriate charges against Bundalan, police said./PN
