ILOILO City – An eight-year-old boy drowned in a river in Barangay Olalo, Pilar, Capiz.
Rydenne Brillantes was declared dead at the Pilar Rural Health Center where his body was taken after it was fished out of the river on May 26.
According to Brillantes’ mother Rachel, her boy and several cousins went swimming in the river and she got worried when he failed to return home for lunch.
Rachel went to the river and sought the neighbors’ help when all she could find there were Rydenne’s clothes and slippers.
The boy’s body was found in nearby Barangay Dulangan, Pilar./PN
