BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City College (BCC) is now in the pipeline for the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) recognition, according to school administrator Ma. Johanna Ann Bayoneta.

The BCC has applied for CHED’s certificate of recognition so that its students can avail themselves of free tuition and miscellaneous fees under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

“Based on CHED’s timeline, all local colleges that are applying for recognition must be in the pipeline for recognition by November,” Bayoneta said.

She added that BCC’s application was endorsed by the deactivated CHED-Negros Island Region office to the CHED central office.

Bayoneta hopes that the BCC gets the recognition before the year ends.

Currently, the BCC is tapping the CHED regional office to follow up the application./PN
