BACOLOD City – Police were hunting down the suspects in shooting a resident of Silay City, Negros Occidental in Barangay 23, this city.

Officers identified one of them as Alex Barredo, also of Silay City.

Barredo and a still unidentified accomplice fled after the incident on Tuesday, according to Police Station 4.

Police were still trying to determine the motive, too, as of this writing.

The victim, 30-year-old Alan Delector, was hit on the stomach but the bullet pierced through his back, police said.

Delector was confined in the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

The suspects were on board a red Yamaha motorcycle.

The gunman was clad in black long-sleeved shirt and a cap and had a sling bag, initial investigation showed./PN
