ILOILO City – What should have been a relaxing and friendly drinking binge turned violent in Barangay Cag-an, Anilao, Iloilo. A man was shot dead.
The 38-year-old Rogelio Balbino died of gunshot wounds in the back and left arm on Jan. 6.
The suspect was a friend – Greg Acuyong, 40, of Barangay Badiang, Anilao, Iloilo.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Balbino had a heated argument with some of his drinking pals.
Acuyong tried to intervene but Balbino stabbed him, police said.
This angered Acuyong and he shot Balbino twice.
Police arrested Acuyong and detained him at the Anilao police station./PN
