ILOILO City – “Fearless” was how the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional director described drug pushing suspect Jubal “May-may” Suria Jr.
The lechon (roasted pig) vendor “sells drugs on the road unlike other drug pushers na patago kung mag-transaction,” said Wardley Getalla.
PDEA agents arrested the 35-year-old Suria at around 12 noon on Wednesday in Barangay Santo Niño Norte, Arevalo district.
He yielded 0.7 grams of suspected shabu valued at an estimated P3,500.
An undercover agent surveilled Suria for three days before holding a “test buy” to verify his alleged involvement in drug trafficking, the PDEA said.
Getalla told Panay News a mobile phone seized from the suspect contained messages from people dealing with him.
Messages kept coming in even after his arrest, the top PDEA official added.
Suria was detained at the PDEA Region 6 custodial facility.
He was facing a charge for violation of Section 5 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
