BACOLOD City – The President is showing his “true tyrannical color,” according to Karapatan-Negros secretary-general Clarissa Singson-Dagatan.
Singson-Dagatan, who also warned Filipinos of a possible bloodbath, said this after President Rodrigo Duterte cancelled all peace talks between the government and the National Democratic Front, the political arm of the Communist Party of the Philippines.
Singson-Dagatan stressed that Duterte labeling the New People’s Army as a terrorist group and the red tagging of progressive organizations may lead to illegal arrests and proliferation of extra-judicial killings.
“Duterte finally admitted that he is a fascist and had revealed himself as puppet of the United States imperialists,” Singson-Dagatan stressed.
The human rights group leader believes that Duterte will “fail” in the war that he launched against the New People’s Army, just like former president Ferdinand Marcos.
Singson-Dagatan added that the “real terrorist” is Duterte, citing the number of deaths in his war on drugs./PN
