Esplanade in San Jose soon

SAN JOSE, Antique – The municipal government will turn the Barangay Comon-San Pedro road into the San Jose Boulevard Esplanade.

The project has a budget of P160 million from the provincial government and the Senate committee of finance, chaired by Sen. Loren Legarda.

The San Jose Boulevard Esplanade will extend up to 4.1 kilometers, to be constructed by the National Builders Corp., the project contractor.

β€œThis will be the start of progress and change in San Jose,” said Mayor Elmer Untaran.

For her part, Gov. Rhodora Cadiao said the San Jose Boulevard Esplanade will be a tourist destination in the province.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by local government officials and representatives of the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. (Antique PIO/PN)
