ILOILO City – After he got stabbed on the back, a fast-food restaurant employee was rushed to the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital.
The 22-year-old John Carlo Buenaflor was attacked by two men at the boundary of barangays East Baluarte and West Habog-Habog in Molo district around 2 a.m. yesterday, a police report showed.
At the time, Buenaflor just got off work as a crew member at Jollibee and was waiting for a passenger jeepney along with a friend.
Police identified his attackers as Jeysam “Yaya” Montaño, 22, and Deomer “Tong-tong” Nobleta, 18, both of Barangay South Habog-Habog, Molo.
An East Baluarte barangay tanod (village watchman) saw the incident and called the police.
District police officers arrested the suspects around 8 a.m. A 5-inch kitchen knife was recovered from them, police said.
Montaño and Nobleta were detained at the Molo police station./PN
