ILOILO City – With only a week left before the much-awaited Dinagyang Festival, the Iloilo Business Club (IBC) takes on its early task in securing sponsorship agreements for the event.
IBC executive director Lea Lara disclosed that as of Jan. 6, the organization has secured more than P9 million worth of financial sponsorships from the private sector.
“Damo na gid festivities that’s why we need more finances,” Lara said. “And of course, we would like to give a good production sang festivals.”
The IBC chief added that they are eyeing to raise P17 million for this year’s Dinagyang Festival.
Lara furthermore disclosed that most of the print advertisements and streamers around the city were generated by the IBC Dinagyang committee, which has been handling the sponsorship and promotion activities of the festival since 2000.
Lara also said the private sector is a big contributor to the success of the Dinagyang Festival./PN
