ILOILO City – The No. 8 most wanted person in La Paz district was arrested yesterday in Barangay Baldoza.

Ely Tipanan, 37, was taken to the district police station around 9:30 a.m. The police had been looking for him these past two years.

Tipanan had two arrest warrants for theft issued by Judge Juana Judita Panigbatan-Nafarete of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 38 and Judge Antonio Gerardo Amular of RTC, Branch 36.

Amular and Nafarete each set the suspect’s bail bond at P22,000.
