BACOLOD City – Police are looking into land conflict as the motive in stabbing a resident of Sitio Kalag-Kalag, Barangay Caningay, Candoni, Negros Occidental.

Thirty-six-year-old Jugie Yap’s dead body was found around 9:20 a.m. on Monday about 15 meters way from his cousin Romulo Henares’ house, a police report showed.

Yap died of at least seven stab wounds on the chest, upper back, right shoulder, and right leg, police said.

From what the police gathered so far, four suspects – whom the police refused to name – were responsible for Yap’s death.

The stabbing happened on Sunday when Yap and the four suspects were having a drinking binge.

Police were still investigating the case./PN
