ROXAS City – Two persons were killed while a girl was injured in a stabbing incident in Barangay Poblacion, Mambusao, Capiz.
The 42-year-old Nildo Llavore and Aiza Isuma, 17, died, a police report showed.
Isuma’s 15-year-old younger sister Roxan, meanwhile, was wounded.
The 36-year-old Rogelio Isaya of Barangay Batiano, Mambusao – alleged to be Roxan’s boyfriend – was arrested, police said.
Isaya was trying to get from Roxan a sim card but the latter refused, resulting to an altercation, according to Senior Inspector Rachel Garneca of the Mambusao police station.
Llavore – who was standing nearby – tried to pacify them but Isaya stabbed him, Garneca added.
Isuma attempted to rescue Roxan but was also stabbed.
Roxan sustained stab wounds and was rushed to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in this capital city. She was currently under treatment.
Isaya, on the other hand, was detained and facing murder and attempted murder charges, Garneca said.
