BACOLOD City – Around 3:30 a.m. yesterday a speeding silver Toyota Vios hit a man who fell from a motorcycle on Buri Road in front of Mountain View Subdivision gate, Barangay Mandalagan.

The man, 22-year-old Hernani Andol Mondia, was a resident of Purok Tongoy, Barangay Mandalagan. He died while being rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

According to Police Officer 3 Eliseo Andraneda of Police Station 3, Mondia was a motorcycle back rider of a certain Ricky. The two fell from the motorcycle and the Vios tailing them hit Mondia.

The Vios, however, did not stop to help the two men, said Andraneda.

Andraneda said police investigators already had the plate number of the Vios and would check this with the Land Transportation Office.

He urged the driver to better surrender./PN
