ILOILO City – Two people were injured when an 18-year-old stabbed them in a convenience store in Barangay Q. Abeto, Mandurriao district.

The suspect, Carl Eric Lima, was out to avenge a mauled uncle, police said.

Bryan Tabian, 33, of Barangay Calajunan, Mandurriao and John Alvin Del Rosario, 22, had stab wounds on the back and hand, respectively, a police report showed.

The incident happened at Quixmart at around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 11.

Lima, a resident of Barangay Airport, Mandurriao, asked the victims who attacked his uncle at 7-Eleven in Barangay Oñate De Leon.

A companion of the victims pointed to Tabian. That was when Lima pulled out a knife and charged at the victims, the police report showed.

Police launched a hot pursuit against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
