ILOILO City ā Two drunken men had a fistfight in Zone 5, Barangay Calumpang, Molo district.
Officers arrested Larry Santiago, 35, and cousin Rodrigo, 26, and detained them at the Molo police station.
Police officers on patrol caught the two fighting at around 1 a.m. on Nov. 22.
The officers admonished them but Larry got irked. He smashed an empty beer bottle on the road and attempted to attack the officers while āuttering defamatory words,ā a police report showed.
Rodrigo, on the other hand, told the officers they should not meddle with a family problem, the police report stated.
Larry, a resident of Villa Matilde Subdivision, Jaro district, resisted arrest but was later subdued.
While at the Molo police station custodial facility, Larry became āhysterical and uncontrollableā as he shouted and banged his head on the cellās iron grills, stated the police report.
Larry was injured on the head and nose. Iloilo City Emergency Response team personnel treated his wounds./PN
