BACOLOD City – A motorcycle crashed against a sport utility vehicle in along a national highway in Barangay Caliban, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Motorcycle driver Jan Rey Canillan, 19, of Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia died of head and body injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.

His back rider, 21-year-old Reynante Villarite of the same village, was injured and admitted in the regional hospital.

Senior Inspector Ryan Santillan said the two were on board a Honda XRM around 2:30 a.m. on May 17 when they collided head-on into an Isuzu Crosswind driven by Federico Lacson, 52, of Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City./PN
