BACOLOD City – Four leaders of the Muslim community in this city expressed their full support to the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in its war against illegal drugs.

Sacar Ontao, Yassin Sambitory, Sultan Alex, and Nasser Ampatuan met with Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, acting director of the BCPO, yesterday.

Last week, Wanky called for cooperation from the Muslim community in the investigation of drug-related crimes.
The four Muslim leaders were saddened that some of their fellow Muslims were involved in drug crimes but said they cannot tolerate such.

Wanky said the four leaders will provide any information from the Muslim community that can help in the investigation.
They said they do not want to destroy peace in Bacolod, which served as their home away from Marawi City since the 1970s, Wanky said./PN
