BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will impose a new security measure to prevent the entry of “bad elements” in the police headquarters.

Before entry, one must turn over an identification card in exchange for a color tag corresponding to their transaction at the police office, explained BCPO spokesperson Police Office 3 Jared Esquilla.

“This is a part of the BCPO’s target hardening measures in line with the Oplan Kalasag of the Philippine National Police,” Esquilla added.

The new policy will also be implemented in 10 police stations across the city.

“This is to secure the compound from possible intruders or attacks,” said Esquilla.

Police officers must also submit necessary documents to secure a sticker allowing their private vehicles to park at the compound./PN
