ILOILO City – The No. 2 most wanted person in Region 4-A was arrested in the island barangay of Semirara in Caluya, Antique.

The 46-year-old Isagani Edan, a murder suspect, was a native of Barangay San Roque, Sariaya, Quezon province. He was caught around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Policemen from Quezon and Caluya served Edan’s arrest warrant issued by Judge Dennis Pastrana of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 55 in Lucena City.

Edan worked as company driver in Semirara where the country’s largest coal mine is located.

He was detained at the Caluya police station and would be transferred to Quezon province.

Region 4-A is also known as CALABARZON. It comprises five provinces – Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

Situated just south of Metro Manila in southwestern Luzon, the region is the most populous in the Philippines, having 14,414,774 inhabitants in 2015, and is also the country’s second most densely populated after the National Capital Region./PN
