BACOLOD City – Not only illegal drugs but police also recovered a gun.
Thirty-three-year-old Charles Ian Alquizalas of Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Alquizalas was caught in a sting operation staged by the drug enforcement unit of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office around 9 p.m. on Aug. 9, a police report showed.
Recovered from Alquizas were five sachets of shabu valued at P100,000, drug paraphernalia, P300 marked money and a .22-caliber firearm with seven live bullets.
Police also confiscated his cellphone and P800 cash.
Alquizalas was detained at the lockup facility of the San Carlos City Police Station./PN
