ILOILO City – In Barangay Cabugao Sur, Pavia, Iloilo, a motorcycle-riding couple figured in a crash at around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
The driver, 28-year-old Nelmar Tormon of Barangay Botong, Badiangan town, died. He was thrown off the vehicle and his head banged on a streetlight pole, police said.
His wife and back-rider, 25-year-old Celina, sustained various injuries on the body. She might undergo surgery, said the police.
The couple were taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Bound for Iloilo Supermart in the city, the Tormons were negotiating the national road when their motorcycle accidentally hit the center island, police investigation showed./PN
