MANILA – Weeks after retaining the Reinforced Conference title, Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors is eyeing to repeat the feat when it begins its title retention bid in the 2017 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference today at San Juan Arena.
Lady Warriors Sports Director Eric Ty said they are confident of retaining the All-Filipino championship, its fourth since entering the league last year, under new head coach Rico de Guzman.
Lady Warriors recently captured the Reinforced Conference championship behind imports Michelle Strizak and Krystal Rivers, at the expense of Bali Pure Purest Water Defenders.
“Our team is still solid even without imports,” Ty said during his appearance at the weekly PSA Forum. “The expectations will be high for us especially after last conference win, but we believe in our players.”
“We have a stable team, but we are also not discounting on the strength of the other teams, as well,” added Ty, who will banked on Reinforced Conference Finals MVP Myla Pablo.
Aside from Pablo, other mainstays of Lady Warriors are libero Melissa Gohing, Jeanette Panaga, Elaine Kasilag, Janet Serafica, Jessey de Leon, Maricar Nepomuceno, Gayle Valdez, Desiree Dadang, Gyzelle Sy and Bacolodnon Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.
