BACOLOD City – A 62-year-old man was hit by a public utility jeepney (PUJ) while crossing Gatuslao Street in Barangay 21.

Barangay 13 resident Alex Bacalso died of serious injuries on the body, police said.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Bacalso was taken to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but was declared dead around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday.

 

The Bacolod City Police Office’s Traffic Management Unit took the 32-year-old Christopher Domo of Barangay Banago, driver of the PUJ (plate number FVD 285), in custody./PN
