MANILA – Vice President Leni Robredo remains “grateful” despite the huge drop in her ratings in the latest Social Weather Station (SWS) survey released on Tuesday.

In a press statement, Robredo’s spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said the Vice President will use the survey result to “make a bigger difference in the lives of the marginalized.”

“We are grateful for the continued trust of our fellow Filipinos in the latest SWS survey,” said Hernandez. “These results are steady reminder that there are more families and communities to reach out to.”

“The support of the majority is an encouragement to Vice President Leni Robredo, who is working with communities and partners to address poverty around the country,” she added.

In the latest SWS survey, with over 1,200 respondents and done from March 25 to 28, the net satisfaction rating of Robredo slipped by 11 percentage points in the first quarter of 2017.

Robredo obtained a net satisfaction rating of +26 in the SWS survey. Her score qualifies as “moderate,” and is 11 percentage points down from her “good” +37 rating last December.

Net satisfaction is the difference between the satisfaction and dissatisfaction scores. In the most recent survey, 53 percent said they were satisfied with the Vice President, 27 percent were dissatisfied and 19 percent were undecided.

The survey was conducted days after Robredo revealed alleged irregularities in President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs via a video message to the United Nations./PN
