ILOILO City – A security guard had been shot in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.

The 46-year-old villager Restituto Moreno was taken to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.

A police report identified the suspect as tricycle driver Rafael Yamson, 31, of Barangay Lawaan.

A heated argument erupted between Moreno and Yamson while trying to settle a dispute at the Lawaan barangay hall at around 5 p.m. on Nov. 23, police said.

It was not immediately clear what the dispute was about.

Suddenly Yamson chased Moreno, who worked for Perlite Security Agency, and fired at him, the police report stated.

Three empty shells of a .45 pistol were recovered from the crime scene./PN
