ILOILO City – A boutique saleslady admitted taking around P30,000 from their sales and using it for her personal expenses, police said.
The owner of the boutique at GT Mall in Barangay Poblacion, Molo district – Aulynn Yue Sin, 41, of Barangay San Pedro, Molo – found that several of their items were missing upon checking their July 1 to Aug. 3 inventory.
It turned out store attendant Lornie Jane Asoy, 24, also of Poblacion, Molo, did not record them as “sold” in their logbook and took the sales from the supposedly missing items amounting to P28,212, Sin told the police.
Sin claimed she confronted Asoy about the matter and the latter confessed to selling the “missing” items and taking the proceeds, a police report showed.
Asoy cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.
Sin reported Asoy to the Molo police station for theft./PN
