SAN CARLOS CITY, Negros Occidental – Police received from the local government P400,000 worth of communication equipment.

Mayor Gerardo Valmayor Jr. turned over the radio communication equipment to Superintendent Arturo Fullero, city police officer-in-charge.

A portion of the fund under the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) was used to buy the seven radio bases with antennas and 20 handheld radios, according to the city government’s information office.

CDRRMO operations officer Joe Recalex Alingasa said providing the police such equipment is essential for successful operations as well as sustained communication between the two agencies, being partners in responding to calamities.
