ILOILO City – No less than his sister had a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Baldoza, La Paz district detained yesterday.

The drunken “Bon-Bon” Caldo was causing disturbance, Ma. Fe Jaleco said as she turned him over to the La Paz police station at around 1:25 a.m.

But Caldo said he did not start the commotion in Baldoza at the time.

He was just trying to pacify his drinking buddies – a relative and two boardinghouse tenants – who were goading him to keep drinking when he already wanted to stop, he said.

To end their argument, Caldo said he went to the barangay hall.

He said he also did not want to distract her sister who was tending to her baby./PN
