ILOILO City – Construction workers in Molo district reported to the police that unidentified people threw stones at their site and caused them injuries.

The following were working and staying at a construction site in Barangay West Timawa, Molo:

* Nick Genobea, 42, of Barangay Ayuyan, Passi City

* Jhon Mark Lascano, 26, of Barangay Alibunan, Calinog, Iloilo

* Jonie Latosa, 50, of Barangay Alibunan, Calinog, Iloilo

* Jerome Belgira, 22, of Barangay East Baluarte, Molo

A misunderstanding between Genobea and Belgira resulted in a commotion at around 2 a.m. on Feb. 15, a police report showed.

Suddenly stones were thrown at their site, causing face and head injuries on Latosa and Lascano, they told the police.

The incident was referred to the barangay lupon.

Personnel of the Iloilo City Emergency Response team treated the wounds of the injured construction workers./PN
