BACOLOD City – No. 1 Councilor Ricardo Tan is the acting vice mayor of the city starting yesterday.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran issued Memorandum No. 16-2017 designating Tan as his replacement until he returns to the city from his official travel in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
It was not immediately clear if when will Familiaran return.
Meanwhile, Tan, chairman of the People’s Law Enforcement Board, said they dismissed 13 out of 24 cases that have not been resolved for the past 10 years.
Tan added that they will issue board resolutions to five cases, leaving six pending cases.
This is Tan’s first term as a city councilor./PN
