BACOLOD City – A couple was nabbed in a drug raid on Monday afternoon in Purok 3, Barangay Jilocon, San Jose town, Negros Oriental.

Live-in partners Freddie Mariño Molas, 31, and Jonna Key Tinoogan Cabarles, 25, were both unemployed.

The San Jose police was armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Winston M. Villegas dated June 27, 2017.

Confiscated from Molas were five elongated transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, one bundle of disposable lighters, one plastic bag, used tin foils, and one roll of unused tin foils.

The items were found in one of the rooms of the suspects on the second floor of their house, police said.

During the operation, Police Officer Junmar Cuevas saw Cabarles throwing something outside the window. When police investigated, the suspect threw three plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

Detained, the suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
