ROXAS City – Staking a claim on being the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines,” Capiz is luring visitors to an “unforgettable” seafood dining experience during the Capiztahan.

Cooked, baked, or just marinated and grilled goods await seafood lovers during the Seafood Festival from April 21 to 23.

“Come to Capiz, taste the seafood. It’s simply an experience you’ll never forget,” Gov. Antonio del Rosario said.

At the public plaza here, various seafood-serving restaurants from Baybay Beach and some hotels and restaurants will “converge to serve you the best tasting seafood in town,” a news release from the provincial government stated.

“The brackish waters of the coastal towns and [Roxas] city contribute to the good taste of [local] seafood,” it said.

Del Rosario encouraged the Association of Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Owners, as well as fresh seafood vendors to “be considerate” with the prices of their menus or seafood produce.

Visitors expect a low price for seafood in Capiz, specifically in Roxas City, said the governor. (Capiztahan Publicity and Promotions Committee, Capiz Aksyon News Center/PN)
