SAN JOSE, Antique – A village chief’s son was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation around 8 p.m. in Bagumbayan, Barangay 8.

Lester Rey “Titok” Hiponia, son of Barangay San Fernando captain Lorenzo, was caught after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover officer in a boardinghouse on Sept. 18, a police report showed.

When frisked, Lester yielded four more sachets of shabu.

Police also confiscated from Lester a sling bag containing marked money and drug paraphernalia.

According to Lorenzo – who has been actively supporting the Philippine National Police’s Operation Tokhang – he never failed to give his son “proper guidance.”

“I already did everything to be a good father for my son,” said Lorenzo.

Lester was taken to the San Jose police station with his cousin Cyrus John of Barangay Badiang.

Lester and Cyrus John may face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
