ILOILO City – PAREF-Westbridge School, Inc. overcame the opponent’s defense to capture the elementary football title in the 2017 Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA) Meet.

Team captain Louis Benedict Palabrica scored the lone goal for Westbridge to defeat Central Philippine University 1-0 in the titular match at the Savannah Football Grounds on Nov. 20.

Heading into the gold medal game, Westbridge elementary booters clobbered Hua Siong 5-0 in the quarterfinals on Nov. 16 before downing St. Joseph School 4-2 in the semifinals on Nov. 18.

Aside from Palabrica, members of the now title-wielding football squad are Joachim Aidan Arancillo, Rene Areño, Romald Angelo Bayting, Jadon Raine Chua, Jose Alfonso Dolutan, Emmanuel John Enesa, and Matthew Estilo, Mervin Rey Fortaleza, Carlos Martin Gagelonia, and Emmanuel James Gedorio.

Also part of the team are Mikhael Jeff Gedorio, Joaquin Miguel Lutero, Marcu Augusto Margarico, Christian Antonwen Rivera, Kirk Ryan Sumbang, Julian Miguel Tabar, Kristofer Tacay, Jones Rey Emmanuele Tirol, Louis Ben Umadhay, and John David Villavecencio.
