ILOILO City – An unidentified robber took P95,000 cash and other valuables from a woman outside a bank in City Proper.

The 28-year-old Kaye Valene Dedios told the police she was outside the BDO – SM Delgado Branch, at the Valeria Street side, when the suspect pointed a knife at her and grabbed her brown shoulder bag.

Aside from the cash, the bag also contained police and National Bureau of Investigation clearances, a passport, identification cards, and a cell phone, among other personal belongings, a police report showed.

Dedios and live-in partner Mike Suganob went to Metrobank Delgado Branch around 3:30 p.m. on Monday to have a check encashed.

Around 4:45 p.m., Dedios went to BDO supposedly to deposit P91,000 to the account of a cement supplier, the police report stated.

Dedios described the suspect as around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and clad in brown cargo pants, a white T-shirt and a pair of slippers. Two other unidentified men followed the suspect when the latter fled.

Police Station 1 was investigating the incident. They were getting in touch with a barangay tanod (watchman) who was supposed to be standing by outside BDO at the time of the incident./PN
