ILOILO – Ten local government units (LGUs) in this province got new police chiefs following a reshuffling at the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
Police Major Rolando Araño, IPPO spokesperson, confirmed that Passi City Police Station is now headed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo. The component city’s assistant deputy commander is now Police Captain Jersey Besas.
Cabatuan’s new police chief is Police Captain Dionisio Estacio while Calinog police station is now under the leadership of former Cabatuan police chief, Police Major Myles Dieron.
Here are other towns and their new police chiefs:
* San Enrique – Police Captain Johnny Oro
* San Joaquin – Police Captain Felix Perez
* Sara – Police Major Aldren Lamera
* Pavia – Police Major Dadje Delima
* San Miguel – Police Major Richard Lao
* Ajuy – Police Lieutenant General Enrique Robles
* Anilao – Police Captain Maria Fe Umiten
Moreover, former San Miguel police station chief, Police Major Sullen Domingo, was reassigned to the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Former Ajuy chief of police, Police Captain Jojo Octavo, is now the assistant deputy chief of the Santa Barbara police station.
Araño said the reshuffling was normal because some of the police officers were already overstaying in their posts.
“Since ang iban naton diri nga chief of police nakalab-ot na sila sa maximum tenure which is two years, kinanglan na nila masaylo or ma-move. Ang tenure sang isa ka chief of police is ara lamang sa two years. Kung ma-reach mo na ‘ni, need mo na gid ‘ya nga islan sang iban naman nga personnel,” said Araño./PN
