BACOLOD City – For allegedly engaging in illegal cockfighting, 12 persons were arrested in Purok Planeta, Barangay Taculing.
Recovered from them around 9:35 a.m. on Nov. 1 were P2,160 bet money, six game fowls and several gaffs, a police report showed.
The suspects were Robin Barios, Jomarie Cabalfin, Armando Amar, Norberto Mahusay, Edwin Sanol, Geral Ochavo, Jomar Cabalfin, Ernesto Pegarido, John Mirano, Raymart Pangasian, Emillio Fegarido, and Raynan Balasabas.
Detained at Police Station 6, they face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
