BACOLOD City — Fifteen beautiful ladies are set to compete for the coveted Miss Bacolod MassKara 2025 crown, one of the highlights of the city’s world-renowned MassKara Festival.

More than just a showcase of charm and elegance, Miss Bacolod MassKara celebrates Bacoleña pride, where beauty, intelligence, and advocacy converge. Each candidate brings not only grace on stage but also meaningful causes and personal stories that reflect resilience and purpose.

“This is more than glitz — it is a platform where advocacies find space and power,” the organizers said.

The 15 candidates of Miss Bacolod MassKara 2025 bring a diverse array of advocacies that reflect both personal passion and community concern. Kaye Luzuriaga advocates for community health awareness, inspired by her journey as a BS Medical Technology student, while Jestine Nacionales champions the cause of Filipino farmers, promoting fair trade and protection for producers.

Faith Marie Doronila uses music to campaign for marine conservation, and Ashley Bernadeth De Asis encourages open dialogue on mental health. Jeremae Pacino focuses on teenage pregnancy prevention, linking her advocacy to youth development through sports, while Janabea Gepana and Daniella Cheska Giltendez highlight animal welfare, pledging to be voices for the voiceless.

Eynna Mei Lu promotes “Mind Matters,” advancing youth positivity and mental resilience, whereas Sophia Kaye Zaragoza pushes for youth job opportunities, seeking to turn her personal comeback into meaningful change. Advocating for creativity and self-expression,

Mary Angelique Faye Caballero and Ysabella Wuthrich focus on the arts, with Wuthrich highlighting its healing potential through animation. Roshyn Kate Jamantoc supports youth empowerment and leadership, while Aleyssa Dionio champions local vendors, promoting

Bacolod’s grassroots entrepreneurs. Chezzy Laguna honors family breadwinners and their sacrifices, and Ednalyn Garcia advocates for body positivity and scoliosis awareness, proving that strength comes in many forms.

Mayor Greg Gasataya said the city is looking for a queen who embodies the essence of a true Bacoleña — someone flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to challenges, which is the very spirit celebrated by the MassKara Festival.

“What is important is that the winner will be able to represent the city well,” the mayor added.

Last Saturday, September 20, the Bacolod Gugma Foundation Inc., organizer of this year’s festival, held the Miss Bacolod MassKara sashing and press presentation at SM City Bacolod. During the event, two candidates received special awards: Zaragoza (Legacy Media Award) and Wuthrich (Digital Media Award)./PN
