BACOLOD City – A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in Purok Kalanga-an, Barangay Paticui, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Resident Jenelyn Malino, a Grade 11 student, was found hanging in their house with a nylon rope tied around her neck around 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 22, a police report showed.
Malino was rushed to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela, Negros Occidental where she was pronounced “dead on arrival.”
Prior to the incident, Malino was scolded by her father for telling lies, police said./PN
