ILOILO City – Two persons were arrested for illegal possession of firearms in Barangay Poblacion Rizal Ilawod, Calinog, Iloilo.
They were Leopoldo Latumbo, 70, of the town’s Barangay Simsiman and Sierlito Castor, 47, of Barangay Badlan Pequeño.
Police recovered a .9mm-caliber pistol loaded with live ammunition and a .38-caliber revolver from their possession.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Calinog police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
