BACOLOD City – Two persons were killed in separate shooting incidents in Bacolod and Dumaguete cities.
Around 1:50 a.m. on Monday, 16-year-old Joshua Aligayda of Barangay 26 here was shot dead by an unidentified suspect.
Investigation said the suspect, who was on board a car, passed by in front of Aligayda on Gonzaga Street, Barangay 26.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his body. He was declared dead on arrival at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
In Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, the victim was identified as Rolando Buscato Orellana, 30, a resident of Purok Makiangayun, Barangay Talay in the city.
Police said Orellana was standing on the road around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday when unidentified suspects peppered him with bullets.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his body. He was rushed to Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered three empty shells of .45-caliber pistol and one motorcycle with temporary number 87901868 at the crime scene.
Investigations on both cases are ongoing as of this writing./PN
